The Annual Ladies on Ice event has become a women’s ice fishing event of it's own kind. Held in Lac La Biche and sold out every year, this signature gathering brings women of all skill levels together for a supportive, hands-on weekend on the ice. Participants learn new techniques, build confidence, and form lasting friendships in a welcoming environment led by an all-female volunteer team. Warm tents, guided workstations, and shared stories create an atmosphere where learning and laughter go hand in hand. Fishing Lines & Good Times

Fishing Lines & Good Times is a women-focused fishing adventure designed to encourage learning, connection, and confidence on the water. This experience brings women together in a supportive setting where skill-building and shared moments take center stage. Participants are guided through practical fishing techniques while enjoying time outdoors alongside like-minded women. With an emphasis on mentorship and encouragement, the event creates space to ask questions, try new skills, and grow confidence with every cast. The experience leaves participants feeling connected, capable, and inspired to continue their outdoor journey.

Annual Girls’ Ice Fishing Day

Hosted annually in celebration of International Women’s Day, the Girls’ Ice Fishing Day is delivered in partnership with Lac La Biche Schools and introduces young girls to ice fishing in a welcoming, educational environment. Participants receive hands-on instruction in ice fishing basics, guided by an experienced all-female volunteer team. Beyond fishing skills, the event emphasizes confidence, conservation awareness, and mentorship through meaningful conversations with women working in outdoor fields. The day encourages girls to see themselves as capable, curious, and connected to the outdoors.
